Overview
S12 has been together as a cell for a little over 2 years now. They've all grown to lean on each other, utilize each other’s strengths, and trust each other - like family.
Ezra Todd is… was… the bookworm and researcher of the group…
He had gone on a solo, low-grade, research and classification assignment, despite the team insisting that he bring at least one other team member with him. It was supposed to be a simple research and classification mission spurred on by a magical disturbance in a small town a couple of hours away. He just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something that would become a problem for the locals later.
After four days into his research, he went dark. He doesn’t get in contact with s12 at his routine check-in time, and all attempts to reach him have gone unanswered. They put all their current cases on hold and decide to make for the town to check in on him in person… But once they arrive and prepare to hit the ground running, a detective from that county reaches out with some devastating news.
Ezra is dead… and the cause of his death was anything but normal. They aren’t sure how exactly he met his end (– yet –) but s12 isn't going to rest until they find out what was responsible, and avenge him… by any means necessary.

There was some sort of magical disturbance in this sleepy, quiet town of Freyton, Pennsylvania. It could honestly be anything… it could be a disturbance in leylines, a ripple in reality, a summoning ritual gone right… or wrong?
…
Let’s hope right.
Still, it doesn’t seem like it was anything big enough to cause too much concern.
I’m setting up shop now at a hunter’s cabin maintained by my friend Keisha before I hit the ground running with my investigation. Classifying and documenting the disturbance for a later assigned Hunter team should be a piece of cake and then I can return to my team. Shouldn’t take longer than a few days, probably three at the most.
